No Child Left Behind needs to go Virtual
The No Child Left Behind can work if the Federal Government will put up content on the website and allow for those who are; Behind in studies, about to miss a grade level advancement, perform poorly on general tests, at home schooling students (when parents have no knowledge in subject matter), are in Juvenile Hall, live in areas very rural, have disorders, or have injuries which prevent attendance or need Summer School catch up work. By putting up this information on the web in short quick exercises we will be able to insure that these credits or online courses can in fact be counted in all schools. This is a way we can control and insure that no child is left behind but not take control from the local schools. Because then all we will have is local VS Central control and hard feeling will ensue and feelings hurt. Children and teaching must be non-partisan and not be lost in bureaucracy and infighting. We must move towards a future environment in education and also this helps those who do home schooling too. It takes stress off state budgets too. If the system is built correctly it will be great. Teachers can teach at a good pace without over review. Because this makes smart kids lazy and unchallenged and not wanting to learn. Also those kids who mess around in class can be expected to do the work at home online. Or after hours or during recess in the computer lab room? Can this program be instituted by the federal government, yes. Short term will there be issues? Yes, lots of controversy as anyone who has ever volunteered for teachers assistant, PTA, or served on a board of an educational institution or school board. This will work better and help all. Websites are not hard to build and once the content is up, it is up for ever. Many online educational resources put up content. It would be nice if the content was standardized and easy chewable programs to match the attention span of a young American. It is essential that this first step is not lost in the shuffle for political will or in the power struggle between parties. And we must not ever put the process ahead of the kids. I urge all leaders to be sure to keep in mind the mission above all, educating our kids for the future of our nation and the betterment of mankind. The Federal Government can assist all children by putting online all necessary programs for kids to know the basics and essentials. Everyone wins. And you know, there are some adults out there too, who might need a freshening up on some of the fundamentals which make our country so great and perhaps even learn how to balance their check books, budget for their family, learn the five food groups and conserve water resources. This would be a most excellent and inexpensive way to turn the "No Kid Left behind" into a virtual reality learning system for US. Care to comment or send hate mail? Homeless, Trash, Drugs and Transient Issues In Police Magazine I read a great article about transient problems and how they were solved for the betterment of all in Ft Collins, Colorado. This program was called (COP) Community Oriented Policing. In one area downtown there were three homeless shelters 53 liquor stores and a nearby river where the homeless were. The debate holds no weight because workmen's compensation rates are completely out of control there. US Trade Deficit with Bordering Neighbors The trade deficit with Canada is now 50 Billion per year. The amount of money sent back Mexico each week from migrant labor and/or illegal aliens is estimated at 8 billion per week. That is 416 Billion per year, not all that comes back here, over half moves to other lands including Cuba a non-trading partner and China which already have incredibly huge trade deficits with. As we trade with other nations and uplift their economies it provides us too with benefits. Peaceful and successful neighbors and trading partners makes for smooth relationships. We must worry however that if we are paying interest on the money, which is no longer in our economy much of which will not come back, then in fact we are fueling their economies and paying the interest too. Is the US the world's co-signer and if so, shouldn't we have a few guarantees and a level playing field? One could say by increasing their economies, we develop a middle class there and their citizens will then be able to afford what we sell, this is good. However if for instance Mexico trades and buys most of their consumables from China, then the money will flow to their shores instead of ours. However if we (our businesses and citizens) invest in China then we will get back some of this in growth. One could conclude that although there is a trade deficit in consumables those who of us who own mutual funds, which have emerging markets strategies, we will receive benefit and return of those dollars. When simply looking at the trade deficits, one might conclude we are in dire straights, that of course being a factual short-term view, but on further review one might also see the long-term strategy and see that as the world comes closer together everyone wins. The Truth About Power and Absolute Zero Societies have always had a problem of what to do with their young males with high testosterone. In many countries it is important for them to kill off many of them. In times of war it is advantageous to kill off those who may eventually challenge the dictator. Kings of tribes in Africa realized that they too could get rid of their strong males in order to stay in power by selling them as slaves. Yet in doing so the tribes become weak and have issues with the genes of strength and then are easily beaten by other tribes contriving a war against them to help eliminate some of their strongest or reward them with the spoils of war. Such elimination of all the strong can cause a premature collapse of the civilization from a competing nation and too many can cause civil unrest and destroy the empire from within. Lost and Found in Gaza The evacuation of Gaza is now completed, and the world has been watching closely. As a proud member of the Jewish People, I have nothing but admiration for the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces, for the humane way they carried out this most difficult military assignment. Most soldiers train to fight against their enemies; the Israeli army was specially trained to evacuate their own families, friends, and sometimes even their own rabbis and teachers. In fact, there was nothing easy about this assignment; according to the NY Times, an Arab reporter on the scene asked his anchor in Dubai, "Did you see the soldiers crying?" Yes, we all saw the soldiers crying and anyone with a heart and soul had to be moved by their compassion coupled with their calm discipline under exceedingly trying conditions. More tears were shed than blood, and that speaks volumes about the talent and the humanity of the Israeli Defense Forces. Constitutional Amendment Needed on Sodomy Laws Many very nice and loving homosexual male couples want to get married. Sure they can have various personal vows and contractual relationships, share monies; even call themselves married; domestic partners or sole mates. Male homosexual marriages or civil unions seem to make sense because the homosexual male population as a whole is 560% more promiscuous as heterosexuals or regular folks. This promiscuity issue leaves them as at the highest possible risk of contracting HIV and AIDS. AIDS kills people, which would not be very good for them personally. In the future perhaps there will be a cure. Right now the Chinese are working on a vaccine, which looks promising. When you insert you sexual organ up another person's rectum much tearing takes place and there are severe health risks involved even without the contraction of venereal diseases or AIDS.
