Double Standards for Regulators?
Elliot Spitzer, recently said he wanted to drive a stake through the heart of a founding member of the NY Stock Exchange. Since when is it okay for someone who is an Attorneys General to act out like this? We are seeing more and more abuse of power. I personally know someone who emulates Elliot Spitzer who is a young up and coming rising star in a Federal Agency, who would in fact go out of their way to falsify documents, make threats, hide their identity, and attack reputable folks on behalf of competitors. He would and did do this for reasons of selfgratification and future job titles and kudos? Elliot Spitzer has abused the law, made a death threat and should be terminated as this sets a horrible example of vindictiveness, pettiness and a scary precedence. There are junior prosecutors all over this country trying to emulate Mr. Spitzer; is this the example we as a nation wish to portray? Spitzer must be taken to task and fired immediately, or more will follow his lead and then we will have the attorneys who could be likened to International Terrorists as they attempt to destroy freedom and free markets for their own personal gain or future political ambitions. This is a horrible day for Americans when an Attorneys General can make death threats and get away with it. Apparently there is no Truth, Justice and the American way in the Big Apple anymore? We must question what we as Americans stand for; is this it? Is this all the more we expect for those who serve the will of the common good? I think not? Vindictive Government Prosecutors: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6039030/site/newsweek/ This attitude in the name of justice is a sham and it is another strike against the men and women who died and all our family names to allow this to go on. It sets a bad example of future regulators. I have witnessed this personally from the local city code enforcement officer all the way up to Federal Agencies with our public trust in mind. They all have sworn to up hold the Constitution and those laws we freely follow as we agree under public contract and/or our chosen God to live within in our civilization. If this type of behavior is all the better Elliot Spitzer can do as the Attorneys General, then maybe we do not need any Attorneys Generals or Attorneys to help us interpret what is right and wrong and enforce the laws of this land. What are you thoughts, do you find this acceptable, are you satisfied with this behavior? Is this good enough for the NYC powerhouse of World Financial Markets? Are you willing to put your trust in a Public Official who thinks like this? Well? Are you? Do you believe in our freedoms? What's next Witch Hunting with Crosses and Stakes and straw under their feet? Haven't we seen enough abuse of power yet from such regulators? When will it be enough; When Ayn Rand is proven correct? When there are no items on the shelves, when you pay $4.00 per gallon for gas and five for milk? When you are paying $900 for Health Care insurance per month and parking a mere $28 per period? It is okay to scream if you have had enough. I wonder if anyone else out there has had enough of one Elliot Spitzer and for all those who emulate him and want his prestige and power, is it not time for you to go to? What say you? Think about it. Surely in the modern era we can do better than this in our present period. Yet as we stroll thru our nations airports waiting to board our aircraft one could wonder by the treatment a world where such activities were the norm everywhere you went. The United States Government Owes Arthur Anderson 16 Billion Dollars Since the court case was over turned against Arthur Anderson in the Enron scandal, the United States Government owes Arthur Anderson sixteen billion dollars. This money should be taken out of the Justice Departments fund for pensions for all the government workers and paid to the damaged Arthur Anderson partners. The business community is waiting for a response to see if the Justice Department and the United States government will walk the talk and pay for these damages and do the right thing. Trucking and the Flow of Fuel There are many types of fuels besides that gasoline we put in our cars and use to cruise around. It is only the first that come to mind when we think of fuel; "Gasoline" for my car. What about "Diesel Fuel" for trucks? It is a huge amount of fuel. Think how many trucks there are on the road? All the independent truck drivers with those fancy rigs getting just about 5 mile per gallon depending on terrain, loads, speed and wind. Then of course the huge fleets of the grocery chains and giant companies like Wal-Mart. You have Publix, Albertson's, HEB, Kroger and Piggly Wiggly, which all with enormous fleets of their own. Then you have the large contract carriers like Swift, JB Hunt, Werner, Covenant, US Express, Dick Simon, etc. and the LTL Carriers? Less then Load Companies with gargantuan fleets and even with all the consolidation of companies like; Fed Ex Ground buying up Viking, American Freightways and others to form the third largest LTL; the mega merger of Roadway and Yellow Freight; the bankruptcy of Consolidated Freightways; these fleets have continued to buy fuel to get the products to market, deliver the materials and components to keep the world's economies turning. All this is made possible because the fuel is readily available at price threshold that is livable. Without it America stops. Conspiracy Theory; Kill Off the Old Folks Recently I met a man in a coffee shop, a conspiracy theorist, which had me cornered and began to get into a way-out conspiracy theory. As I listened to this crazy idea, he complained about all the usual folks. The Skull and Bones, Masonic Faith, Catholic Church, Trilateral Commission, etc., explaining they were all in this together along with the Globalists trying to develop a one-world currency, nation, people, etc. It appears when ever people do not understand something or some group they label them part of the conspiracy. A Modern Lite in the Third World Americans pride themselves on being the best, that's a fact. From McDonalds, to Coke, to Microsoft, to Hollywood, we have the best of everything. Don't we?
