Mexican Trucks in the United States; NAFTA Trade and Problems
Expected new applications for Mexican trucks to enter the US to be over 9000 in 2005. Most of these newer applications will be to take freight to Port Los Angeles for shipping to Asian markets, and importing parts to be assembled and shipped to Mexico and later sold in the US. Many see a little bit of a problem with imported freight in LA stopping on its way to Mexico and unloaded somewhere without permits. Dirty Mexican trucks will have that clay dirt on them and potentially noxious and non-indigenous weeds on their undercarriages. Since they have to comply with CA excessive grease laws they will be pulled over and cited eventually, but you have to remember the shear volume of trucks out there coming from over the borders. What about the dirt washed off the truck in case of contamination of e. coli and other non-local eco diseases, bacteria and species of insects? Much of their produce is watered with gray water and in some cases raw sewage contaminated water. Others see another malathion problem brewing with little tiny fruit flies coming in on trucks over the border. If Japan again refuses to buy CA fruit again due to the infestation of another type of fruit fly or other insect it could kill CA agriculture business, which is still about 20% of their economy. There are not enough truck wash-out companies over the borders to clean the interiors and exteriors of these trucks and the water they moght use would also inevitably be gray water too. There is no time to build more truck washes that can handle 9000 trucks a day near the borders. It appears that the FDA will be instituting harsher requirements in areas serviced by the 10, 35, 25, 37, 5, 95 freeways. Many agencies are considering the disease issues such as the CDCs. Free Enterprise is looking at ways to service the needs of our people and protect them from possible contamination from foreign markets, but it is a monumental task and it really looks as if no one cares or sees these issues in our Blob of bureaucracy which has sworn to protect us from harm. Toll Ways Hurt The Flow of Transportation The United States has never done a full study on the economic losses caused by the toll ways, which impede our daily lives and the flow of our transportation. Transportation is vital to the health of a nation, its GDP and the flow of commerce and trade. Federal Trade Commission Will Not Monitor MLM Companies Having been to every city in the country over the population of 10,000 in the last four years I have been noticing a trend. I have seen Multi-Level Marketing folks hard selling their business opportunities in public presentations. Listening to these sales pitches in nearly every coffee shop I have step foot and stayed for more than one hour; it is now obvious to me that these MLM people are making at least 25,000 to 40,000 of these presentations per day in public places. This estimate includes presentations being made at college campus dorms and at dinner tables at private homes and residences. During these meetings these MLM sales people say things like they are doing 'Private Franchising', never mentioning the words; Multi-Level Marketing, which many consumers are onto now. Instead they use the more well respected name of "Franchising" but franchising is a legal definition and is nothing close to what they are peddling. Retirement Age Will Have To Be Raised Since People Are Living Longer With people living longer we have some problems as those with pensions will be receiving monies much longer than anticipated. They will be using hospitals and need care longer and all of this will cost us more. Also at issue is Social Security as we have been listening to in the news lately. Yes, the once small $1300 pay from the Roosevelt Ear has now reached epic proportions and the ponzy scheme is a financial crisis waiting to happen. You can also expect many of the huge pension fund contributions of America's largest corporations to renege on their pledges. Do not expect to find a new wave of retirees moving into the golf course condos, unless they have a large financial nest egg. Many retirees are worried. Ask any financial advisor, investment advisor or insurance sales person what the number one thing people ask for today? Long Term Health Care Insurance; costs have skyrocketed and folks are living longer and very worried. Want to live longer? Gasoline Prices Going Through the Roof OH MAN! US Government Regulators and Aides with AIDS All government regulators or diplomat who are in high risk categories for contracting AIDS as well as senior aides in our nations capital who routinely travel abroad must be tested if they have any drug history or are homosexual. Other wise our aides and diplomats will be exporting AIDS. How can we as a nation put forth restrictions from certain countries or travelers from certain lands who may have contracted diseases such as Bird Flu, Small Pox or other pathogen if we are sending our own government workers abroad who could infect citizens of other nations with AIDS. Let me throw out a random thought on Homeland Security Leadership Structure Streamlining Homeland Security with a Free market flair? An idea of adding four more components to the joint chiefs of staff; hire a Jack Welch type as an ombudsman to the group, who does not play rank games. Two; Have an additional force called Biological Warfare for both defensive military and civilian populations; Homeland security force to unite the police forces, law enforcement agencies and private sector database team. Add a division to the defensive plan for space efforts with an ombudsman to NASA and laboratories. North Korea and Diplomatic Solutions; Random Thoughts Part II North Korea and diplomatic games; something has to give and negotiating with those who renege on promises in treaties is a problematic issue for the United States. Here are some additional random thoughts on this issue which span a few years of off and on thinking on the matter. Voters are to Blame for Bad Politics When I was growing up, I actually considered a career in politics. I quickly changed my mind, though, when I discovered that there was way too much politics involved in it. Obviously, that's a play on words, but I get funny looks from people when I tell them that. However, I am completely serious. The politics of running for and holding elective office is influenced too much by the politics of power, influence, and money. But whose fault is it that such a condition exists? I believe voters have no one to blame but themselves. Constitutional Amendment Needed on Sodomy Laws Many very nice and loving homosexual male couples want to get married. Sure they can have various personal vows and contractual relationships, share monies; even call themselves married; domestic partners or sole mates. Male homosexual marriages or civil unions seem to make sense because the homosexual male population as a whole is 560% more promiscuous as heterosexuals or regular folks. This promiscuity issue leaves them as at the highest possible risk of contracting HIV and AIDS. AIDS kills people, which would not be very good for them personally. In the future perhaps there will be a cure. Right now the Chinese are working on a vaccine, which looks promising. When you insert you sexual organ up another person's rectum much tearing takes place and there are severe health risks involved even without the contraction of venereal diseases or AIDS. Politics The Republican Party became popular due to its view on the way conservative America thinks so the country goes republican.
