We Are Turning a Corner in Foreign Relations, Thanks GW Bush!
Kudos goes out to the George Walker Bush's Administration and long-term strategy in the world to take the high road in our foreign relations policy. Today we see relief donations coming in from around the world, why? Well because despite what you read in the newspapers about our Middle East efforts, it shows that we, America, is seen as a country with the right attitude and vision. We have helped people and nations around the world and now, in our time of need we see a reciprocal response. Over 60 countries are sending us money, sending money to Red Cross, Salvation Army and to our relief efforts. We are having donations from Kabul, Qatar, Kuwait and we are talking some pretty large donations. One half Billion Dollars is coming from Kuwait, which is the largest donation from another country to any US Disaster in the history of our Nation. This is a testament to the fact that when your foreign policy does the right thing for the right reasons that you will find yourself respected by the others who, got rained on too and made it thru. We have Friends, yes in the middle east, thanks to foreign policies of the last three US Presidents and our efforts around this Globe. Think on that for a minute. Qatar is giving 100 million dollars to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts. Additionally we have donations pouring in from the European Union Nations. The Countries of Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Austria, Belgium, France, Finland, Italy, Slovakia, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Sweden and Spain and have pledged large donations as well. Apparently our foreign policy is bringing the world together. You have to give kudos also to Condi Rice and her predecessor Colin Powell and the Presidents they served under. Our former Presidents Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton after the Tsunami Disaster also should be thanked. Even China has pledged a beginning donation of 5 million with more to follow as needed. South Korea is sending in 30 million dollars. WOW. North Korea, you thought that they were are enemy, we are working thru these issues diplomatically and they have contacted the Red Cross to see what they can do to help. The President of Venezuela has pledge fuel to the poor. All in all the world is a hell of a lot more united than we have led to believe from the mass world media hit on our nation during the Iraq war. It is unfortunate indeed that it took this Hurricane Disaster to see that the view that America is hated in the world purported by the World Media does not hold water any better than the breached levees in New Orleans. This is proof that our foreign policy is inline with what must be done in the world to bring us all tighter and more united. For those who criticize the Bush Administration, I say to you; There is your Coalition, now unless you are "with us" and our efforts to help the relief efforts in a positive way then "shut up!" Rather than taking these prisoners in and putting up the costs to feed them until after a war has ended, why not hibernate them instead. In other words take their bodies down by 90% and hibernate them like a bear. Is this really possible? Yes, with a little bit of funding it surely is possible, as a matter of fact a gentleman by the name of Mark Roth and his associates have successfully put mice into suspended animation using hydrogen sulfide gas in the proper ratios. Normally hydrogen sulfide gas can be a deadly toxic gas but in the right amounts it merely puts mammals to sleep. Perhaps we could simply fire rockets or cluster bomb smart munitions filled with this gas into the advancing enemy, pile up the bodies and put them into a cage and when they finally do wake up, feed them and then put them to sleep again. Of course taking out a few for interrogations. Well, it seems that in China they have agreed to have the words 'democracy' and 'Dalai Lama' completely rejected by the system, therefore censoring every on-line journal in China using this software. Looking at the Dalai Lama I don't get a feeling of hostile intent... Was Pakistan a British Creation? Filing false cases often in secret courts, using bad profiling and with coax'ed declarations purporting fraud. This is not opinion as I have proof positive of their abuses of power. How can we allow the Federal Trade Commission to go against the "truth, justice and American way" that they have sworn to uphold? I realize that the entire Federal Trade Commission is considered a "bunch of whores" by industry as they attack corporations to "get fees" often at the request of weaker, poor performing insider competitors at the request of their attorneys. Government Overregulation of Broadcast Content Could Backfire Rush is right! The government's stepped up bid to regulate broadcast television content is indeed frightening. Limbaugh made his comments during one of his regular radio broadcasts last year. Those remarks were in response to the FCC's crackdown on broadcast indecency and Congress' threats to hand out much larger fines to broadcasters for such violations, in the wake of Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" at the Super Bowl halftime show last February. Voters are to Blame for Bad Politics When I was growing up, I actually considered a career in politics. I quickly changed my mind, though, when I discovered that there was way too much politics involved in it. Obviously, that's a play on words, but I get funny looks from people when I tell them that. However, I am completely serious. The politics of running for and holding elective office is influenced too much by the politics of power, influence, and money. But whose fault is it that such a condition exists? I believe voters have no one to blame but themselves. How Can We Prevent Black Outs and Protect the Grid? The idea is to have all the important items with minimal back-up systems while things are restored. There are so many ideas we have not explored and should explore. With a little proper usage and conservation and a cohesive plan, the Grid should be so safe and capable that it no longer will be looked on as a target of those who wish us ill. Even devises can be made that lay on the drive way and the drive wheels of the car sit on them and they spin wheels generating electricity for the house. People would not be totally without electricity in the event of a Black out, rolling brown out, or large transmission line failure. Traveling the country in a motor home and being self-contained gives me a little different perspective on things than most. It is time to put together a complete plan for the next 100 years to insure trouble free electricity and power for the country and then the world. Maybe at that point we can look into some revolutionary harvesting of space energy? We Do Not Have An Upside Down Trade Deficit Because We Cannot Compete Our trade deficit is directly proportional to our attacks on US Businesses and Entrepreneurs. We do not have an upside down trade deficit because we cannot compete. We can compete with any nation. We have bad policies, over regulation, too many lawyers and lawsuits. We have judges and juries ruling for unbelievable sums to send a message to the businesses and industries as if it were the job of the court to dictate policy. Governments Worst Agency Everyone knows the United States Government often falls down in their duties. Although over all the country is great and for the most part seems to work, there are several agencies that get an "F" on their report cards from some who act as government watchdogs. In my opinion there is no bigger waste of taxpayer's money than that of the Federal Trade Commission. Having studied a few cases it appears obvious that this worthless agency cannot seem to do anything right. The sooner we close this agency or reduce its budget the better. All money spent in the agency is completely wasted. They cannot get rid of SPAM, it is up over 3000% since they started working on it. Identity theft issues in our country have run ramped and the FTC need to answer some of those Viagra SPAM adds as they are utterly impotent in their enforcement of this as well.
