Holly Hill Public Works
During the past 10 years much of the Public Works area has been rebuilt, remodeled, and improved.
To quote Councilman Byrnes;
"When I first took office 10 years ago the residents of Holly Hill were suffering from a water moratorium, a sewer moratorium, and a building moratorium, much of our infrastructure was failing. "
"...We had a failing sewer plant, that had been cited for poor performance."
"Today we have an award winning plant that helps to protect the environment."
The Holly Hill Waste Water Treatment Plant is the only one in the area that produces output (sludge) that is certified for land spreading.
While the sludge from other area plants is trucked to the county landfill using valuable space, ours is used for fertilzer.
